How to disable audio when inserting into primary timeline
With FCP 7 you can turn off audio channel before inserting video into the timeline. How can I achieve this through FCPX without having to right click > detach audio > delete?

I was having the exact same problem, I adopted the technique of just shrinking the audio down in volume so that you can’t hear it.
