    Hi there,
I’m fairly new to Premiere Pro CS6, and I have a fairly big project, I can’t seem to see a dupe detection, does anyone know how to Detect Duplicate Footage/Clips in a timeline,

    Many thanks

    Hello,

I don’t recall when this was added (I know the tutorial calls out Premiere Pro CC) but worth checking to see if either of the two methods exist in CS6.

There is no dupe detection in CS6.
But you can check how many times a clip has been used by
Selecting the clip in LIST VIEW in the project window.
Go up to the top, the Preview area and press the little triangle
    either for video or audio.
Then select an option and it will bring the playhead
to the position of that clip in the timeline.

I can confirm that that is active in PPRO CS6
