  • How To Delete New Schema?

Posted by Lucas Neeson on May 8, 2024 at 3:34 am

I was experimenting with creating schemas in Premiere Pro 2024, and now one of the labels is locked in (without the option to delete it). I’m not talking about the XML file of the settings, which I did find. I can’t seem to get rid of this top table (screenshot attached). Any thoughts on how, or where I can find it to delete it manually?

Its possible the XML file you are referring to is PremierePro.xml, am I correct?

This should be found under the file: PremierePro/Catalog/SavedVectors , I imagine the Premiere Pro folder should be under the C Drive.

In order to remove the label, you will need to follow these steps and see if it works for you:

    1. Backup your PremierePro.xml file.
    2. Open the PremierePro.xml file in a text editor (such as Notepad or Sublime Text).
    3. Find the label you want to remove and delete the corresponding XML tag.
    4. Save the PremierePro.xml file.
    5. Re-open Premiere Pro and the label should be gone.

Keep in mind that backing up your PremierePro.xml is essential before you make any changes just incase since it contains very important data like your workspaces, preferences and catalog settings.

If you still have issues, you can close Premiere Pro and then press and hold the ALT key (Windows) or Option Key (Mac), then double click to re open Premiere Pro! It will launch without the access to your preferences and such. Then you can close Premiere Pro again and re open it normally. Hopefully that works out for you!

Thanks for the info. I’d like to check this, but I’m not seeing that directory (I also searched that XML file name on my C: drive, and didn’t have any results).

Can you provide the full directory you’re referring to? I’ve checked in the Adobe folder in Documents as well as the Adobe folder in the user/roaming area. I’m on Windows 10 by the way. Thanks
