How to deinterlace in 1440×1080 resolution?
I’ve been reading a lot about deinterlacing videos but unfortunately most topics are for professionals and I don’t understand much of them.
I just need an easy method to deinterlace my material – it doesn’t have to look great, I just want to get rid of “combs”. What I found out, the easiest method is to set “Progressive” in AP export options and it automatically makes your video deinterlaced. It works for me in certain resolutions but now I need to export my video to 1440×1080 resolution. And when I set these values, “Field order” goes inactive so I can’t choose “Progressive” and in result, AP gives me interlaced file.
I also found another method – I save the finished material in Adobe Premiere and than I import it in After Effects. Then I apply “Reduce Interlace Flicker” effect to the whole sequence from AP file, I set the value to 1.6 and that’s it. The result is quite satisfying but there is one problem. It takes a very long time to render a video with this effect – almost two times longer than without it.
I also know I can deinterlace my footage by right clicking on every single clip and choosing “Field options”>”Always deinterlace”. But since my material consists of hundreds short clips, it’s not the best idea.
I would be thankful for any advice for the beginner like me…
