how to define cloning/add to picture size
this is what i have:
i captured some material in native 16:9. my clip is 3.20 mins (footage of a road / camera mounted to resemble the drivers perspective)
my problem:
i want to make the image size 6480 pixels in width. the original footage is now (after stretching it with a factor of about 2) 1400 pixels wide and i placed it in the middle of a comp. so now i still want to generate the rest, in this case about 2500 pixels on each side. since i want to blur it afterwards the generated parts dont have to be perfect…
what i tried:
i tried the cloning brush in AE – first it worked. after having filled the empty sides i had too many layers and ae crashed (more than once).then i thought of rendering the clip in single frames and editing those one by one in photoshop…i realized i would be editing 5000frames+ by hand….puuuuh.
the i thought of an expression defining the parts i want to clone – and quickly realized i dont have a clue as how to do it.
then i thought: if i`m lucky the gurus @creativecow can help me…;)
