How to “cut” in FCP?
In Avid I can select all tracks, mark in and out, then hit the “X” key to cut out all the material in all tracks.
What is the FCP equivolent? Command X leaves a space. -

You want a ripple delete. The forward delete key next to home on the extended keyboard, or Shift-Delete with the big delete key.
