  • how to create trails (condensation) from an airplane?

Thhis is for animation purposes. I want to create animated condensation trails behind an airplane ‘effect’. A similar effect to the visual ‘air’ effect in a windtunnel… Hope what i am trying to achieve is kind of clear. If there is any tutorial for this on the web, i would greatly appreciate it.

thanks in advance for the help

Well, first you might want to have a look at these little QuickTime-Movie.

    https://homepage.mac.com/g.t.schneider/nolanscott/Moviesites/toonplane.html

It shows some sort of a trail that can of course easily be modified to your needs.
The trail were done with a light and a particle-emitter.

    Emitter:
    Birthrate 25
    Liftime 25F
    Speed 25
    End Scale 0.1
    Tangential

    Emitter:
    Size 10 x 10
    Angle Horizontal
    and Vertical 10

    Light:
    Colour 60/80/100
    Omni
    Visible Light
    No Light Radiation
    Show Visible Light
    Show Illumination
    Show Clippings

    Cheers
    Nolan
