how to create spirit-like entities?
What is the best way to create spirit-like entities? we’re doing a main title sequence of a horror movie and we need to create spirits….please help

Shoot them on greenscreen, or at least shoot a separate plate (image with camera locked-down) with a portable, well-lit greenscreen behind the talent. Then you can make them transparent, add glow, apply colorama, use the talent image as a displacement map over the background …. it depends on the look you want.
At any rate, if you want to treat them differently from the BG, you need to shoot them on some kind of greenscreen or bluescreen.
