How to create Normal Map in Photoshop on Mac ?
How do you create a Normal Map in Photoshop on a Mac from scratch, if there is away? Are there any plug-ins?
NVIDIA only has a Normal Map plug-in for PCs, but not for Mac.
I’ve spent hours trying to see if this is possible. The closest I’ve come is to install Gimp, then install this normal map plug-in, but in the pack I downloaded, the directions to install the plug-in are incompreshensible to me. https://code.google.com/p/gimp-normalmap/#Changes > https://code.google.com/p/gimp-normalmap/downloads/list There doesn’t appear to be a plug-in in the package. If anyone knows how to install this plug-in, it would be greatly appreciated if you could let me know.

I ended up finally finding Crazy Bump after hours of searching that day. Pretty difficult to find. Thanks. Hopefully this will help someone else.

If you have a texture map in Diffuse, you can click on the Nornal map icon and select “Generate normal map from diffuse…” It will use the diffuse map to generate a normal map in the normal channel. This works in Photoshop CC and later, I believe.
