how to create animated arrows in AE?

Theres the 3d Stroke plug-in from Trapcode that might do the job… but I just found this – looks interesting:

there are a lot of lines in the beginning of the clip that were done with 3D strokes.

the orange and darkblue real arrows (with the arrowhead I mean), were probably done in a 3D application, they really bend, there’s no easy way to do that in after effects.

There are some 3d plugins like 3d invigorator, maybe that could help.
