How to create a laser cutting a pattern
Hello. I am doing a logo reveal in which a laser basically draws the pattern on the floor. My question is how I would go about doing this? I have an idea on how to create the laser but I am clueless on how to create the pattern on the floor. I was thinking of using the Write On tool but I am unsure. Any tips or tutorials that could help me out?

One idea is to use Particular- set a light as Emitter and then link light to a path that will draw the logo. Use the same technique like in the iPod light streaks, creating a particle that is round an varies in diameter. Make the Light/Emitter go really fast around the path, much like a laser does when creating laser animations. This will give you a nice 3d laser drawing that can be used with 3d camera moves for more interesting animations.
