  • How to create a JPG with 4:2:2 compression?

Posted by Content Lab on April 4, 2006 at 2:13 am

I have been asked if it is possible to create an image and save it using JPEG compression but in the YUV 4:2:0, 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 colorspaces.

Can I even do this in Photoshop?

If not Photoshop then what appplication could I use to convert a TIFF file to a JPEG in those particular YUV formats?

Thanks in advance for any anwsers/tips in the right direction/good will

One NEVER use JPEGs in video editing

Two – No… YUV is not a supported color space in Photoshop
