Hi! I would like to create a dodecahedron in after effects, but I don´t know how I can do it. I think that perhaps I can do using elements 3d or trapcode plugin but I don´t know how.

    Some idea?

    Thanks in advance

The easiest way would be to use a 3D application (Cinema 4D etc) to create a simple dodecahedron and import that into Element 3D.

Because I’m waiting for something to render, I thought I’d actually create a dodecahedron .obj file for you to try out. Hope it helps.

As an aside, DAZ recently released its Hexagon software as a free item now. Primatives such as a dodecahedron are menu items. So if you need to make things occasionally to use in Element3D, this might be something to consider.

Don’t forget, Cinema 4D Lite comes included for FREE with After Effects and there is a primitive that you can adjust to be a dodecahedron in it.
