How to create a 3d dodecahedron in elements 3d or paticular
Posted by Luis Garcia on March 13, 2018 at 8:26 amHi! I would like to create a dodecahedron in after effects, but I don´t know how I can do it. I think that perhaps I can do using elements 3d or trapcode plugin but I don´t know how.
Some idea?
Thanks in advance

March 13, 2018 at 12:34 pmThe easiest way would be to use a 3D application (Cinema 4D etc) to create a simple dodecahedron and import that into Element 3D.
Because I’m waiting for something to render, I thought I’d actually create a dodecahedron .obj file for you to try out. Hope it helps.

March 13, 2018 at 3:26 pmAs an aside, DAZ recently released its Hexagon software as a free item now. Primatives such as a dodecahedron are menu items. So if you need to make things occasionally to use in Element3D, this might be something to consider.

March 16, 2018 at 8:15 pmDon’t forget, Cinema 4D Lite comes included for FREE with After Effects and there is a primitive that you can adjust to be a dodecahedron in it.
