  • How to copy or get data off Hard Drive or restore image

    Hello
I have a G5. Dual 1.8 GHz PowerPC. It has two internal hard drives and as much memory as this model allows.

I need to get data off my two hard drives, one is the HD that has a corrupt mac os version on it, or something on it is corrupt because it won’t let me repair it, boot from it, or copy the image to a blank hard drive. The other is just the slave with extra data

what is the quickest and cheapest way to get the data off these drives or copy the data over so I can erase and reformat them?

I tried restoring the image but it said
“could not restore-input output error” for the main drive
and “could not restore-is a directory” when i tried the slave

I don’t think i can use any software as I can’t access the computer or boot up, I can only open disk utility using an incompatible version of a mac os cd
