  • How to convert 24 to 25fps?

Posted by Jack Kelly on May 24, 2005 at 7:40 am

    Hi guys,

How can I convert a 24fps uncompressed AVI to a 25fps AVI? I’ve shot some 16mm at 25fps; it’s then going to be telecined at 24fps… and then I need to convert this back to 25 fps! Can I just change some information in the AVI header?

Any help would be very greatfully received!

    Many thanks,
    Jack

    Open a 25fps project.

    Import your footage.

Highlight the clip(s) in the project window and choose ‘interpret footage’ from the right click menu to force to 25fps. This will play out your frames at 25fps.
