February 18, 2013 at 7:18 pmAlright I guess I am stuck with my Compressor then….and I just keep getting the error message. I guess I can take my quicktime files to a professional and they can compress them for me. Would they need all of my source files that I made the videoclip out of, or just the quicktime file itself? (that probably seems like a stupid question but I don´t know the answer!)

February 18, 2013 at 7:19 pmJust the exported QT file. If you chose SELF CONTAINED, then it is a stand alone file that doesn’t reference any of your media. Just take that to someone and they’ll do it for you.

February 18, 2013 at 7:28 pmOk Thanks so much for all your help. I really appreciate it. And actually, for people in the future having this Error message, I have found the solution, on another forum where many people were complaining of the same thing. It is important to drag the destination directly on top of the setting destination that you have already dragged up there. If you just drag it underneath you will get the error message, but you need to drag it directly on top of the setting you have chosen, so that they merge. very strange but simple, and it works.
