  • how to colorize raster element?

I have a black and white texture that I’ve cut and pasted from photoshop into Illustrator (the texture is RGB). I want to tint it a different color. I can’t. I’ve tried “Edit Colors” but there’s nothing really available. The closest is “Adjust color balance” but it gives me these RGB sliders and it’s kinda guesswork to get the color i want and I really need to match specific swatch colors.

I’ve found a work around where I put a colored rectangle over my texture in Screen mode. But i’m using this texture to fill type and there’s a lot of overlapping and it’s getting really messy. Is there any way just to color some raster image?

    thanks
