how to color tone a image like this image

February 21, 2015 at 9:45 pmThere’s an awful lot of work done there by someone who knows what they’re doing. Hard to say exactly what they’ve done but this should get you close-ish:
First of all add a contrast adjustment layer and set the contrast to minus 50. You might even need to duplicate that layer to remove enough contrast.
Next add an exposure layer and drop the offset to about, say, 0.02. It’ll depend on your image.
Then to get the colours, add a new layer and paint it green and blue where you need those colours. Then set that layers blending mode to ‘Softlight’ to get it to blend with your photo. And then adjust the opacity of that layer to get the look you’re after.
