How to change white car to Red and Blue car?
My next work is a car TV commercial, shot with Alexia in ProRes mov.
Unfortunately clients don’t have red and blue car ready for shooting, but white.
It is very well lighted without any overexposed part on the surface.
They will change the color of the car in FLAME. I was hoping if i could at least give second pass, so VFX can start with second pass.
I have tried, RGB MIXER, offset, RGB instead of YRGB, and various composite mode. None of this is woking.Can anyone help me with this matter?

Try killing Red and Green channels for the white car, so you end up with Blue car. The same goes for the Green car. You can try to use the Mixer for this experiment. Or for even easier solution, pull those channels down with Curves.

Of coarse . You need to key the car out first and then you do the trick with the Mixer just on the car and not on the whole picture. You were talking about turning the white car into red didn’t you?

Pretty much how these things go.
We flipped a red Prius into “Eco Green” for a local power utility who was giving one away for a promotion. That was about 12 or 13 years ago now, we weren’t working in HD, and it took a team of colorists and graphic artists a week to roto and grade the thing. It would have been cheaper to just re-paint the actual car, but they wouldn’t allow us to do that… even though that model was available (but not to us) in that color.
The thing about these supposedly straightforward tasks is that there is a blizzard of details that the team needs to solve — the noise inherent in the media, motion blur in the swish pans, dust in the air, the fact that the car (in my case) also has *red* tail lights, and so on and on…
