  • How to change position keyframe velocity curve?

Posted by Richard Plucker on May 22, 2014 at 2:54 pm

    Hello all,
    I’m using After Effects CC (12.2.1.5, Win7)
I’m trying to adjust the velocity curve for the X position of a text layer.. I’m only using 2 keyframes; one is easy ease. I’m able to do it with no problem on scale, but not position.
I’m obviously missing something simple here.
    Thanks!

What you’re looking at/editing is called the value graph. If you want to edit handles on the Position’s value graph then you need to Separate Dimensions. You can edit the speed graph without separating dimensions.

Right click on the position property and select Separate Dimensions from the context menu.
