how to capture still image
I’d like to be able to capture a still image. How can I do that?

Hi Lillian,
More recent versions of Premiere have a small “camera” icon below the Program Monitor window. Click that to grab a still from current frame in video timeline.
Regarding the YouTube question, haven’t done an upload there in some time. Do they allow for a “thumbnail upload”? This would be the display image for the video.

That’s great, that answers my question. Youtube does give you the option of choosing between 3 thumbnails, but no option to choose a single frame to display before you play the video. I guess that is just not possible. I understand that it is with vimeo however.
