  • How to capture aux audio (ch3 &ch4)?

Posted by Mike Carro on December 6, 2005 at 4:04 pm

I’m using a Canon XL1s and have some audio on channel 3 and 4. Can’t seem to be able to capture this via firewire. Is there a setting or what?
    thanks

Premiere doesn’t capture the second stereo pair at all. You’ll either need to use another application, or change the audio mix settings on the camera and capture the audio in a second pass. (If I recall, I once looked up how to do that with an XL1 and wasn’t able to find a way, so you’ll probably need to use another app. Try Scenalyzer.)

yeah, I tried changing the settings on the camera but to no avail. You’d think there would be a way. Never heard of Scenalyzer but I’ll give it a try.

The Matrox RTX cards allow you to capture video and all four audio tracks at once in Premiere.

Yes, ScLive will capture the third and fourth channels.

Apart from that, it is a great capturing utility. It can easily capture from various sources too!
