    HI,

I have some footage shooting in a Panasonic HVX200 P2. These footage first was downloaded to Final Cut Pro and after exported like a Quicktime files. Those Quicktime file can be watched in Quicktime in MAc but NOt in Quicktime PC, any time than I try to open it said” You need aditional Plugins”.

Could anyone to tell me what is the name of this aditional plugins and where is posible to find it??

    Thank you!!

PS: I am working in Avid Media Composer and when import the footage I can see nothing.

    Hi,

You can get a DVCProHD QuickTime Codec for Windows here:

Or export into a format that QuickTime on the PC understands natively- such as H.264.

I responded in the Avid forum for this, but forgot to add–

If you plan on editing in Avid, you hopefully kept the MXF files that were imported into FCP. If so, you can drop them into your Avid MediaFiles folder, open Avid, use the Media Tool to show master clips, and drag the master clips to a bin.

Done. All your media is now in your Avid, and it isn’t gone through the compression/decompression of exporting a quicktime and reimporting it.

    Michael.

I get a “Page Not Found” from that Calibrated Software site when I click that link. Any other sites?
