How to Apply a track motion to a mask
Hello
I have rotoed out a part of my footage, and for getting the best fix to the region I did a tracking , now I don’t know how to apply Track Motion data to the Mask. When I apply the Track Motion data to the layer the whole layer will wiggle around. and I have not found any way to apply it to the mask. ( and yet I don’t know separating the mask from the layer via precomposing is a right choice?!!!!) Might I use Silhouette or any other rotoscoping software, or AE is the best choice?

Silhouette is a dedicated roto software that is designed to do roto, so it is better than AE at that. However, AE has Mocha which can help you with roto/masking.

https://ae.tutsplus.com/articles/roundup/28-magnificent-mocha-tutorials/Regarding your question about tracking data applied to a mask- one way to do it is to copy and paste the mask you cut on a shape layer and then apply track data to that layer. Use that layer as track matte.

Here’s a video that shows how to apply motion tracking data to an adjustment layer with a mask on it to do selective color correction:
“Motion tracking and rotoscoping”The same technique could be used on a track matte, too, as Tudor suggests.
