    Hello,

I have a client who would like their business logo/name to move across the screen and have some type of animation to the letters. How is something like this created and what type of software would be required? Any info that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

you might try BLUFF TITLER or 3dImpact by Crystal Graphics or Cool3d (I think thats the name) or Herograph or BorisFX. Any of these or a combo of any of these and Photoshop should take care of whatever you want to accomplish.

    Top drawer:

    Middle draw:
3D positioning tools in Vegas, AE, or other 3D animation tools. All require your rigging – extra dimensioning.

In most cases you may need to be tracing the original logo with a wireframe equivalent, digitizing or at the very least font matching.

After Effects is also good. I’d stay away from Cool3D considering Ulead has stopped developing these types of apps, so Cool3D is currently an orphan an it shows. The same goes for Media Studio Pro and DVD Workshop.
