How to add tiny black dots to my video
How to add tiny black dots to my video to make it look like an old film. I’ve already applied scratches and sepia tint. Okay, I’ve tried adding Noise but it didn’t give me my desired result. It just made the whole frame covered with colored noises but what I wanted is tiny discrete black dots on my video. Also, how do I change the color of Fractal Noise to make it look black rather than the default white? Thanks. Please don’t be rude when guiding me. I know you’re clever and I’m not.

Fractal Noise is both black and white. If you want just the black part of it you could either use the free Knoll Unmult filter to get rid of the black, then invert the white part with Channel/Invert in the Channel tools, or just put the noise layer in Darken mode in your Comp, or any one of the Darken modes – see a description of what each mode does here:

You can get some very cool, animated grungy overlays by playing with different mode settings. Some will give you the more or less random pattern you get from the silver crystals on film emulsion.
