Hey guys I am wondering a good way to add some subtle flashing lights into the sky of my edit.

also I would like to do some depth of field effects, whats a good way to achieve it and what is that plug- in for? It doesn’t seem to do much but of course I do not have a clue how to use that plug-in.
    Thanks guys

Isolate the sky (you might need to use rotoscoping [link] if this is footage you shot), then apply a levels effect, adjust things brighter, and use masks to place where the effect shows up. (Twirl open the compositing options for the effect in your timeline panel and hit the plus button to use a mask.)

Read this page [link] for information on the Depth of Field effect.
