December 9, 2009 at 4:48 pmUse the HD-SDI out to record to your capture card or an AJA Ki Pro. You can’t record 4:2:2 on HDV.

December 14, 2009 at 9:36 pmSo here comes the main question What format is the video stored in my mindv cassette . Is it stored in a format at all. i shot footage on 250U JVC .
And also the other main question is that is the 4:2:2 footage obtained through capture process and can we obtain 4:2:2 color space available on recording of jvc 250U.
I am having this capture trouble twice on jvc 250u camera and most probably either i am missing something or i have to go back to good old digibeta or to dsr 450.

but when your content becomes HDV it will be 4:2:0
as this is the bottleneck you will not get better result’s by capturing it in 4:2:2 what is not there can not be recreated.this will not mean that the SDI output of your camera will be true 4:2:2
but it will not be when playing back from tape.greet
mauricePeople saying they don’t make mistake’s often make nothing at all!
