    I am in search for a tutorial as to how the stuttering effect is created. famous example will be this transformers trailer at point 0:53-0:55 mark where the helicopter transforms.

    You can either cut out frames from your video using a blade or razor tool or add a black solid on the video layer above that is a frame or two long where you want it to stutter.
