How can I achieve the explosion or the muzzle in the Street Fighter game using after effect I tried everything, I used turbulent noise with masks but not like that ?

I’d start with a particle system like Particular to generate the shape and motion.

Can you tell what steps would you follow using particular, because I just tried without getting to nothing .
