  • How to accomplish this effect?

A client wants to take some photographs and make them look more like illustrations then photos.

I tried various “Stylize” filters that came with FCP and from Noise Industries, but I can’t get what I think is the right look.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Sapphire has a nice one in the new bundle. Otherwise, if none of the FCP plugins work, probably bring it into photoshop. There are some great ones. Snap Art is perfect. I’d apply to a 2nd layer and tweak the opacity and or apply on one channel only to be more subtle.
Also, think about background blown up with a gaussian / illustration effect, etc. with a normal foreground picture.
There’s a lot of tutorials around for that too.

    Try ToonIt from Digital Anarchy.

Toonit is VERY cool, but it is really slow to render. Take a look at Studio Artist, it is EXACTLY what you need.

    Have a wonderful day.
