    how can i make 3d channel effect work?

    1. i rendered iff from maya.
    imported in AE.
    add 3D channel FX such as fog3D, DOF etc.

    2. with fcheck i rendered two sepearate tga: image & z-channel.
    imported in AE.
    same thing … nothing works.

    what im doing wrong?

    Check the manual:

    You can import 3D channel imagefiles saved in RLA, RPF, Softimage PIC/ZPIC, and ElectricImage EI/EIZ
    formats.

    If you use seperate tga streams, you can fake most effects using Compound Blur for focus, or trackmattes for fog.
