I realise that the firmware comes with no garentee. On the website it says they haven’t damaged a camera yet but also that this is alpha software so user beware.

My question is if the firmware update does not work can I just reinstall the firmware update from Canon?

Also from an empirical point of you how risky is the update, has anyone here had any bad experiences with it?

    Regards,
    Ben

You have to load magic lantern every time you turn the camera on, so from what ive heard, if you have problems, you can pull the battery, and the camera will reload to standard canon firmware. Ive loaded it a few time on my 5d mkII, and never had any problems.
