Just curious, how much ram do you use to run AE?
I am going to get 64GB more.
Should i get 2 x 32 so in case later i can add 64 more?
Should i use 64 now, plus the 8 (2×4) that are there, for 72GB?
What do you think?

I don’t use AE much, but I’ve read the more ram the better. However you should look up your computer ram configuration guide.
You can’t always mix/match different sizes/speeds/brands. For example my HP Z800 has a chart showing which ram sizes and amounts you should get.
Otherwise you can actually slow down your computer

It’s generally considered not a good idea to mix RAM sticks, but you don’t have to listen to that if you don’t want to. You can always pull them out and test it to see which is better.
64 is a great amount. I wouldn’t recommend less than 32. It wouldn’t hurt to have more down the road, but you won’t likely see a speed increase going from 64 to 128 (unless AE’s architecture changes significantly).

Thank so much for this answer too.
mixing ram sticks means dont use 2 different sized sticks, like 2×32, the 2×4…ok.
love the architecture tip.
happy new year and thank you again.
