  • How Motion does it on the new Mac Book Pro??

Posted by Javier Salinas on June 19, 2007 at 9:09 am

    Hi there,

I’m planning to buy the new Mac Book Pro with 4GB and I’m wondering if it would be powerfull enough to work with Motion calmly or on the contrary it would be exasperating. Any thoughts??

I’m working with a 2.7 Power PC and a Intel 2.66 Dual Mac Pro both “full” of memory and it does it pretty good (Thank Godness!hehehe). However Motion quits on the G5 when I try to export from FCP and on the Mac Pro when I’m experimenting too much hehehe… apart from that all fine.

    Thank you!

Motion’s performance greatly depends on the graphics card- so do the research before buying.

    Thanks Noah,
The Nvidia Geforce 8600 looks pretty good, but I think you can only know it’s really working when you put it to the test. I’m going to buy it (no doubt) but I’m just curious about the performance.

Or go to an Apple Store for demos.
