I have a 10 second comp with a single emitter generating a custom shaped particle stream (spine primitive star). I’m watching the Windows Task Manager PF Usage graph rocket upwards throughout the whole render. If I push the comp length any further I’ll run out of memory (2GB) and crash.

Is this typical behavior? Even when creating the comp and using the spacebar to stop/start and make adjustments, the PF usage always goes up and never down until I’m out of memory.

    Hi Steve,

If you could please send me the comp that illustrates this issue then I can take a look at it to see if it’s happening here.

You can send that to me at peterm@borisfx.com

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for passing along that file – I used it to reproduce the issue that you describe, which is that rendering this file to anything longer than a 10 second clip is not possible, as the application becomes unstable. We’re investigating the issue right now.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
