    Hey guys,

I’ve been slammed the last few months working on projects that wouldn’t die, leaving me little time to upgrade to 5.1. My philosophy was, if it ain’t broke….
Well, now I have a new client who wants me to take over a project, which includes a hard drive with, you guessed it, a 5.1 project.

My question is, if I send in my discs Monday, how long will the upgrade discs take to reach me, realistically?

    Thanks in advance.

    John,

If you get desperate and are in fear of losing the job, I have a solution for you. Write me at drw at drwfilms dot com if you need to get going before your new discs arrive.

Why not go buy the upgrade directly at the Apple store?

Don’t think thats possible Tony. Its been discussed here many times. Unless Apple changed their policy recently. The “crossgrade” requires sending in your discs, and there’s no way around it.

Actually, the project just got killed due to the limited budget of the client, which turned out to be a joke. I think I should be ok.

Cool, thanks again though David. I appreciate the offer!

Its a good thing you found out they didn’t have the requisite cash now rather than later. Its always a huge relief to realize you’ve just waved off a nightmare client before it got started.

    Happy holiday…
