How import QT progressive at double frame rate in FCP composition 25Fps interlaced ?
Hi,
I’m on G4 800X2 running FCP HD 4.5
I’ve got a motion graphic Quicktime rendered at 50Fps progressive, non interlaced (they are titles for the clip)
I need to put this QT at 50Fps progressive inside a FCP composition in DVPAL at 25Fps & mix it with DVPAL footage at 25Fps & finally export the whole composition for DVD PAL standard at 25Fps.
They told me that it is always better to render motion graphics at double frame rate progressive, because in this way when you render your final movie, FCP use a full frame for any half interlaced frame, avoiding flickering & giving a smoother image.
Is it true ?
Which is the best workflow for doing this in FCP ?
Did I have to “manipulate” my 50Fps progressive QT before to import it in FCP comp.@ 25Fps ?
Or can I put it directly in my FCP timeline & render the whole thing at 25fps ?
Very shortly the question is : How do you treat a Quicktime progressive rendered at double frame rate when you import it in a FCP composition at normal broadcast frame rate interlaced (PAL or NTSC)
Thanks in advance for your help.
