How have Timestamp from AVCHD file import into Final Cut Pro
I have sony avchd files that I converted into apple pro res 422 LT using final cut pro File and Transfer.
However the files does not generate time stamp on these file or Start Time.
I have to mix these avchd files in with Canon 7D files which generates timestamp with Canon EOS plugin for final cut.
I would like timestamp so I can sort all these files together by timestamp. Unless there is better way of organizing lots of files.

Most AVCHD formats don’t record timecode, so FCP doesn’t look for it. Each clip starts at 00:00:00:00. Some cameras do record timecode…but for some reason FCP 7 and 6 don’t look for it, or don’t care about it. CLIPWRAP 2 will transfer it for you though.
