  • how get TWIXTOR to use source frame rate not project frame rate?

    Greetings.

I am trying to get best of twixtor in Vegas Pro 12.0. I have files with frame rates 25, 50 and 100 (GoPro stuff). My final goal is to make 25 fps PAL HD video. When I twixtor my videos in vegas, end result is pretty bad because TWIXTOR uses 25 FPS of project for twixtoring, NOT original FPS of source videos.

If I create temporary output file, say SONY YUV 50 FPS (so twixtoring is happening using 50 FPS) and then re-render it to HD 25 FPS, result is fabulous (difference in twixtor quality is huge).

However, this two-stage process is silly and there has to be smarter way to tell twixtor it uses source frame rate directly?

    Thanks for help!

    Hi Denis,

In Vegas Pro 12, you have the option of “Event FX” on each event and “Media FX” on the source. In order to get Twixtor to use the source fps, you need to apply Twixtor to the “Media”. Either use the right mouse button on your event and select “Media FX”, or go into the media explorer and do it from there.
