How get the best export of red footage in fcp
Hi everyone, the red is new for me. I want to know, what is the best way to export red footage in the best quality. I work in this way. Copy the footage data in my mac – Log and Tranfer (in apple pro-res 422 HQ) – make the cut. Then to make the post production in after effects i export the footage in QT compression NONE – frame rate current, footage size in current (2K) but when i import my footage in AE, the footage looks compressed.
Why????
Please any help whit this problem.

The footage looks compressed. some people said to me some DPX’s things but i dont understand to much. You know something about DPX???

I’m sorry for not replying again, but I wasn’t notified of your reply.
Yes, exporting DPX files is the best thing to do.
This is the thing, how are you editing the red media in the first place? Are you transcoding using red rushes? And then offlining?
If this is the case, you need to go back to the original media using clip finder and send the cut to the Color. You can then output from Color at the full resolution using all the Color space, as DPX or quicktime or cineon etc.
