    Am not finding any articles on how element 3D is programmed or how it works? Can someone here share the technical perspective of element 3D build or flow chart? Why can’t we have similar plugin for cinema 4D which renders in real time and outputs as well just like element 3d?

    Element 3D uses OpenGL for real-time rendering.

    It’s a rasterizing renderer, which uses all sorts of cheats to work quickly.

    Most 3D apps use ray-tracing renderers, which attempt to model how light and surfaces really interact.

    Hi walter,

    That’s very informative. But, i think, cinema 4D is mostly used by motion graphic artists, rasterizing renders, may be close to element 3D is crucial for quick output. Even i came across this pixels world creative coding plugin at ae scripts which is again rasterizing render right?

    Why is it so difficult to make one rasterizing render for cinema 4D?

    One more information needed?

    Do you think element 3D is written from scratch without using any existing open source game engine or existing code?

    Which open source game engine can be used for quick start like element 3D?

    Does this works like this breifly like below.?

    Input 3D model in after effects >> external game engine renders it >> output is displayed in after effects screen??

    Any detailed information or work flow is much appreciated ??

    You CAN get something similar in Cinema 4D. The viewport updates in the last few versions have really made it possible to get beautiful looks in the viewport without having to do any rendering. The latest version even gives you handy options to quickly get the viewport cleaned up to do playblasts without UI elements so you can quickly kick them out.

    Yep! i came across this Urender for cineme 4D which boasts about real time rendering.Can viewport renders treated as final renders? How good or bad it is. Does the quality of render matches element 3D? Blender has Evee real time render which is way faster compared to cycles. Am looking for options for cinema 4D which is like Evee or element 3D. Why there cant be another module in cinema 4D which works like unreal engine or Lumion or game type engine??

    I wasn’t talking about an add-on. C4D’s viewport might not be as powerful as Eevee, but it can do some pretty nice stuff.

    This viewport rendering is fine michael. But cineware have great potential to beat element 3D, if they can fix openGL issues like reflections, anti aliasing, multi, super sampling, better AO,Floor Reflections. Its would be very flexible to blend after effects design data with cinema 4d data in cineware and which renders faster like element 3D open GL..Model and animate in cinema 4d, render in open GL cineware realtime almost. How cool..
