Using a 6 core AMD with 16 gb ram and a Program disk with a RAID0 (2TB) and Prem Pro CS5, WIN 7.
I downsized a 1920×1080 cineform master file to 720×480 (PAR 1.2) using cineform’s utility HDLINK.
When I imported the downsized file into PP it showed the PAR as .9.
The characters looked “thin” so I did File – Modify- Interpret footage and set the PAR to 1.2 and it seems to be normal.

This made me wonder if there was a way to find out what the PAR is. I used to use Gspot with older computer and xp, but the Gspot web site doesn’t mention Win7 being supported.
Mediainfo shows “display aspect ratio” which is just the width/height and not the PAR.

I was wondering if the actual PAR is listed somewhere correctly or if there is another utility I could try?
    Thanks in advance,
    John Rich
