How does one create this swirly shape effect? [video]

How does one create the swirly shapes
as grow and morph. I’m new to AE. I want to create a presentation to recognize the growth of an organization, i.e. setting standards, milestones, new building facility.
Are there any resources online that has tutorials for simple high impact effects? Can anyone recommend a cool effect? Any places online to get ideas so that one may know what is possible?

    Thanks

Looks like vector objects (or bitmap for that matter), rotating around an axis that’s outside of the comp area.

Yar, that gray arc thingy was easy. The rest of that comp took several people many weeks to create. And the project seemed to enjoy the services of a competent designer and project wrangler.

The gray arc effect was relatively easy. The design was inspired and required solid grounding in knowing After Effects can do and how to tell the animation staff how to do it. That takes lots (LOTS!) of experience and endless hours of failed renders. “New to AE” is a problem in this case.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

I see. This opens up a whole new world of visuals using that technique.

    Thank you.

bogiesan, you are a genius! It is easy!
Don’t tell me what is hard and what takes a long time. Please, you have no idea of my capabilities and work ethic. None whatsoever. Despite the relatively arrogant and ignorant response, I truly look forward to your response the next time I post a question.
