if i am working on a project with ntsc video – lower field first 29.97 fps, and then add a image sequence, and export as an image sequence, how will interlacing work with that? will the final image sequence have 60 images per second (one for each field)?

I havn’t got it in front of me, but from memory it dosn’t create a file for each field, AE will only create 1 file per frame.

So you should still import the image sequence at the same frame rate. 30 in your case.

But you can right click on the image sequence in the project window and select interperate footage to change frame rates and field orders if you need to.
