    Hi there,

is there any chance to capture clips that have been imported?

The footage was shot on XDCam HD and was stored on my harddrive using XDCam Transfer. I then converted all the footage to Apple ProRes using Compressor.

I now wonder how to restore the project after it will be finished. I don’t want to backup all the footage, in the best case I only need the ProjectFile. BUT, if I try to Batch Capture all the clips FCP opens Log&TRANSFER instead of Log&CAPTURE (Log&Transfer would be another opportunity but does not work for any reason..).
How does FCP know that the clips haven’t been captured? And how can I force FCP to capture them?

I hope it’s someone out there who thought about the same question…

    Thanks!

Kind of hard to figure out what it is you want exactly. Do you want to archive your project? Then you might as well use Media Manager.
