  • How does 5D Mk.II & FS100 work together

Posted by Klaus Pedersen on September 9, 2012 at 1:39 pm

    Hi

Is Canon 5D Mk.II and Sony FS100 a no-go in the same production?

We are normally producing on the Canon 5D Mk.II. but have a production next week, where an extra photographer is joining the production. He has a FS100 and I am worried if the look from that will be too different from our 5D MK.II.

Alternatively he can bring a 7D.

What is your experience with mixing 5D, 7D and FS100 footage?

    Best regard
    Klaus

    Klaus,

The 5D and the FS100 are very compatible. We’ve used them together as A-Cam and B-Cam for interviews. You can find a ton of videos on vimeo that have used both cams.

Live a little, but TEST before you go on your shoot.
