October 25, 2014 at 8:35 pmWe recently switched to Box.com accounts. The benefit of this has been our network clients have enterprise level accounts, which allow for video preview of files from within the website. I still have a Hightail, but with iCloud Drive being part of Yosemite and Box syncing all our office users so easily, we never use Hightail anymore. Box has basically eliminated the need for FTP as well. We’re pretty happy with it.

October 26, 2014 at 1:04 am[Mark Morache] “Any faves here? We need a way for our show to receive large files (possibly a couple of gigs) from any number of people. “
I have paid versions of both WeTransfer and transferbigfiles.com. They both work well and are simple to use. Both allow users to send you files by uploading them to a URL (aka personal drop box) without logging in or using an app. I tried HighTail, but it was just too slow.

October 26, 2014 at 11:56 amI use a second free Dropbox account with a synchronized folder between the two. That way they can send a file that ends up in your main Dropbox account. Of course this only works for files that are less than 2 GB.
It would be nice if Dropbox added a feature that would allow this. You could have a separate password that would allow for uploads only to a specific folder.
