How do you use the notch filter in FCP? I don’t see a gain control. Only frequency and Q.

The Q slider determines the range of the effect, and the frequency slider determines, well, the center of that range of frequency affected. The idea is that a range of frequency is notched out completely so you wouldn’t need a gain slider for that.
