How do you speed up an ENTIRE video by 10%?
Hi everyone, I’m new to this and to Sony Vegas. I just finished an 18 minute video for a friend and as a test he wants the video as is (normal playback speed) and then the ENTIRE thing sped up by 10%.
I see how you can do this to individual clips using envelopes but I have over 200 clips and don’t want to manually do this on each one, including audio.
Is there an easy way to render the video and manually adjust it so the entire thing plays back at any given rate?
Any help is appreciated!

You can (before rendering) import your .veg file as a nested veg into a new project and use the velocity envelop in the new project

Drop a marker on the timeline so that you know where a 10% speed up should end.
Do a Ctrl-A to select the entire timeline and then press the G key to group everything together.
Place your cursor at the very end of the timeline (any event will do), hold down the Ctrl key (you’ll see a ~ show up under the box) and drag it backwards to the marker you made. -

Hi Theo, is just a standard import of file the same as a ‘nested’ import? I’ve been trying this and it’s just not working. If you can give me any more help that’d be great 🙂

Just drag the .veg-file from the explorer (or even from Windows Explorer) to the timeline. Thats all. Your project will appear on the timeline as 1 video and 1 audio event.
